At Sooplaa, we are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and safeguard that information, and your rights in relation to it. By accessing or using Sooplaa (the "Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
To facilitate gameplay and maintain Platform functionality, we generate and store anonymous identifiers, including user IDs and device identifiers. These identifiers do not contain personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you on their own. They are used to operate game sessions, detect and resolve technical issues, and maintain the security and integrity of the Platform.
Prior to accessing the Platform, you are required to confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and to accept these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. We maintain a record of your consent, including the date and time of acceptance and the applicable policy version. These records are stored in a secure manner to ensure compliance and protect against misuse.
If you create a Sooplaa account, we collect your email address. It is used to identify your account, to sign you in, and to send you service messages about your account or subscription, such as a receipt or a renewal notice. An account is not required to use the Platform: the game can be played without one.
We may collect approximate (coarse) location information derived from your IP address or device settings. This data is used to provide localized content, comply with regional regulations, and improve the overall user experience. We do not collect or store precise geolocation data.
If you subscribe to Sooplaa Plus, we collect and retain information related to your subscription status and purchase history. This data is used to manage your subscription, provide access to premium features, process transactions, and resolve billing-related inquiries.
Web subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which acts as the merchant of record and payment processor for these orders. Paddle collects and processes your payment details, billing information, and any tax identifiers directly, and it issues your invoice. Paddle handles that information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information we need to operate your subscription, such as your subscription status, plan, renewal date, order reference, and the email address used for the purchase. Sooplaa never receives or stores your full payment card details.
Sooplaa Plus is sold only at play.sooplaa.com through Paddle. There is no other place to purchase it, and no app store is involved in your payment.

If you are signed in to a Sooplaa account with an active Sooplaa Plus subscription, we save a record of each finished game to your account so that you can start a new game from a previous one. Each record contains the player names entered for that game, the number of players, the setup chosen for the game (the occasion, how well the group knows each other, whether drinking was involved, the game mode and the intensity settings), any note you wrote to describe the group, the topics and interests the group selected, marked as liked or disliked, or blocked, and which cards were shown together with how the group reacted to them.
These records do not contain what players said, answered, or did during the game. The Platform does not record the conversation at the table, and it captures no audio, no video, and no written answers at any point.
We keep a record for 30 days after the game it describes ended, and only the five most recent games within that window. Past 30 days a record is no longer shown to you or reused, and a daily cleanup deletes it permanently. Saving a sixth game deletes the oldest record straight away. No such record is created if you play without an account, or if you are signed in without an active Sooplaa Plus subscription. Deleting your account deletes these records, and you may also request their deletion at any time.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to user data and consent records is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
Our Platform infrastructure is hosted with reputable service providers based in the European Union. Certain technical data may be processed through globally distributed content delivery networks and security services as part of standard internet operations.

Our public website does not load third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking scripts, and no third party sets cookies on it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic request data such as IP address and browser type to serve the site securely and to produce aggregate, cookieless traffic counts. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. We do not serve advertising on this website.

Sooplaa is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has accessed the Platform or provided personal information, we will take prompt steps to delete such data and terminate access.
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. The revised Privacy Policy will become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
